Week One, meh results

Alright, so its been one week since the first Phentermine. I lost 3 lbs.

So this is how I approached week 1. Took Phentermine in AM along w/coffee. I set reminders to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 snacks throughout the day. Previously I've been eating 1 big meal a day and snacking throughout the rest of the day. Sometimes not eating anything until around 7pm. Everthing I've read tells me thats a big mistake for weight loss, you need to eat to burn calories, blah blah blah.
A typical day was yogurt w/a handful of granola mixed in. A banana, cottage cheese w/apricots. A handful of almonds, 2 small burritos w/beans, cheese, salsa, a banana or an apple, maybe a cheesestick.
I definitely wasn't hungry, I was forcing myself to eat.
I gave an allowance of 1300 calories a day. I was drinking approx 40-50 oz of water. I was confused why I wasn't losing weight and I was still so tired. Reading the Phentermine message boards, people are losing like 12-15 lbs a week, and they have tons of energy.
Towards the end of the first week, I was mad I wasn't losing more weight, so yesterday I stopped forcing myself to eat and doubled my water intake. I lost 1 lb yesterday. Yes, I know, its water weight, but I feel like I need to flush out my body before I can start shedding real pounds.

So, my approach to week 2 is, take my vitamin and breakfast around 10AM, the Phentermine at 1PM. I'm going to try to push about 80-100 oz water per day.

Lets see how this goes.

First Day

Well, just took my first Phentermine. Lets get this party started!
Heres the before

Ugh, 277 lbs. How did I let myself get this bad? Well, I guess no sense dwelling on the past (donuts), lets look towards the future!
Measurements: L arm 14"
                       R arm 15"
                       Bust   47"
                       Waist 45"
                       Hips 58"
                      Thighs 34" each
Resting Heartrate 75 BPM

I'm never really hungry anyway, so the trick with this is going to be forcing myself to eat. Went to the groc store yesterday. I bought a lot of stuff I can easily make small meals of; yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, etc.
Also started taking vitamins yesterday (One a Day Multivitamin)
I read that if you don't eat much meat that you'll have a deficiency of Vitamin D, Calcium and other key nutrients that your metabolism needs to rev up.
Also, the key to losing weight is eating several small meals throughout the day so your body gets used to burning calories. Thats the opposite of what I have been doing. I usually eat like 2x a day and gorge on about 3 servings.

So,this is the beginning. I'll keep updating.

And so it begins

A bit about me:
I am a 50 year old woman, 5'9" weighing 280 lbs.
It seems like just yesterday I was 130 lbs complaining because the size 10's were loose.
Sigh, that was 20 years ago. Since then I had about 20 lbs I slowly gained, lost, gained, lost etc. When I got a little older it seems like that 20 lbs turned into 30 then 40 and so on.
A few years ago I had a personal tragedy and with that came a major clinical depression and severe anxiety attacks. In a little over a year I gained 100 lbs. I've tried 2 years to watch what I eat, exercise (very light walking, I am so heavy I can't walk much without getting out of breath.)  I have not lost (or gained) 1 single pound.
Went to my doctor's, he did a full blood panel. Surprisingly I have the blood glucose level of a "normal" sized person. There is not even a hint of diabetes. My thyroid is normal. My heart and cholesterol is fine. My blood pressure is a little high, but the doctor attributes that to me being in an anxious setting.
I considered getting gastric bypass, however with my anxiety issues I cannot see myself in a hospital for two days. After discussing options with my doctor he wants me to try Phentermine.
This is my journey, and hopefully my record of amazing weight loss. I will do my best entertain you, inspire you, and If you are going through a similar situation I hope to share it with you. Please leave me a comment, I promise to read them.

I will begin taking Phentermine on Jan 16.
